CASE STUDIES
OUTDOOR VIDEO PRODUCTION
A State Agency required a specialized video production for its nature center at a state park. The video focused on a state-wide frog monitoring project. The contractor produced a 12-minute educational video showcasing the park's natural features, wildlife, and opportunities to participate in frog monitoring. This video was integrated into the center’s visitor experience. To date, it has been viewed by over 25,000 visitors, significantly enhancing educational engagement.
GROUND SCHOOL TRAINING PACKET
A challenge course owner/operator needed to improve their seasonal training for new practitioners to maintain effective and efficient onboarding and safety practices. We developed a highly visualized training resource featuring a responsive slide deck with simplified diagrams, step-by-step guides, and downloadable PDF versions for offline use. This new approach improved knowledge retention, shortened onboarding, and increased consistency in safety protocols across the staff. The visual aids were well-received by staff, boosting confidence and reducing training errors.
SEA CADET ADVANCED LEADERSHIP TRAINING
The US Naval Sea Cadets requested a training course for students who had already demonstrated basic military competencies in communications, problem-solving, and teamwork. In response, we designed a 5-day advanced leadership course that integrated online learning, in-person classroom instruction, and field-based experiential activities. The course aimed to further develop leadership skills and prepare students for more advanced responsibilities. As a result, participants gained enhanced leadership abilities through a comprehensive and immersive training experience.
ONLINE TRAINING COURSE
A Professional Vendor Member (PVM) from the Association for Challenge Course Technology (ACCT) requested the development of an online training program for challenge course managers. In response, we designed an asynchronous online course tailored to meet the specific needs of these managers. The course is accessible globally, allowing participants from different companies to complete it at their own pace while preparing them for the challenge course manager certification. This solution provides flexible and comprehensive training, enhancing professional development and certification readiness across the industry.
C.I.N. FACILITATION AND REPORT
A state-level agency requested facilitation and report writing services to provide recommendations to the governor and his cabinet for establishing a Children in Nature (CIN) program. This program aimed to engage schools, state parks, community health organizations, and stakeholders to improve children's mental and physical health by getting them outdoors. We coordinated with state-level directors to conduct an in-depth study and produced a comprehensive report with implementation recommendations. As a result, the state of Delaware has successfully run the Children in Nature program for over 15 years.
GEAR UP PEER MENTOR TRAINING PROGRAM
Washington State GEAR UP required a Peer Mentor training program to prepare college students to support high school seniors in transitioning to college. Using our 30+ years of expertise in small group and experiential training, we developed a comprehensive training and certification program for Peer Mentors. The program equips peer mentors with the skills needed to guide GEAR UP students through the college entry process. This initiative ensures GEAR UP students receive structured support, improving their successful transition into higher education.
