More About Dan Ashe
The president and founder of Challenge Applications, Dan Ashe, has prior experience in the military, education, and non-profit sectors. His passion is focused on "building better teams" using experiential strategies gleaned first-hand from Outward Bound expeditions, small unit leadership and successful business partnerships both regionally and nationally.
In 1991 he was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for Service during the First Gulf War and in 2010, he received the AEE Phil Costello Award for Entrepreneurship. He holds a master in teaching from The Evergreen State College and a bachelor of arts in psychology from Salisbury University.
Dan lives near Chestertown on Maryland's Eastern Shore with his wife and son.
PERSONAL PHILOSOPHY
Dan lives life intentionally. Everything matters, everything counts. As a dedicated Christian, his faith is central in all aspects of his life. He is active in the music ministry at his church and teaches in the youth and adult programs.
Having a "purpose-driven" outlook permits personal choice, in family and free time, business, health, hobbies and authentic learning, which provides for rich experiences that build foundations for life that matter.
He attempts to live life through dialogue and finding common ground rather than through judging and dividing. He believes in people, not parties, closed systems, or unproductive practices that hold us back. No relationship, team or organization has ever improved because of cynicism, sarcasm and negativity.
Let us live fully aware, free, focused and ready to move forward.
