Rural schools face real challenges: teacher retention, leadership turnover, and the need to empower students who are ready to lead. The Leader-Ready Institute is designed specifically for small districts to address these needs head-on.

This two-day, in-person institute brings together two staff members and three students from your district to participate in parallel leadership development tracks—aligned in purpose, rich in experience, and focused on long-term results.

  • Participants engage in an immersive leadership experience focused on:

    • DISC Communication Styles

    • Relational Intelligence

    • Adaptive Leadership

    • Team Culture and Collaboration

    • FastTrack tools for continued application

  • Student leaders participate in hands-on, challenge-based activities that build:

    • Personal influence

    • Communication confidence

    • Initiative and problem-solving

    • Teamwork with peers from neighboring districts

  • A leadership cohort that returns to your district ready to strengthen your culture and lead with clarity.

    • Designed for Rural Teams – Small-group model supports real conversation and application.

    • Experiential Learning – No lectures. Just dynamic, facilitated learning and purposeful challenge.

    • Shared Framework – Staff and students engage in aligned training that extends beyond the two days.

    • Tools That Last – Includes printed DISC profile reports, a leadership toolkit, and 3-year video refresher access.

    • Coaching Included – Personalized follow-up Zoom sessions available post-training.

    • Dates: June 17–18, 2025 (9:00 AM – 3:00 PM both days)

    • Location: Pateros School District Campus

    • Who Attends:

      • 2 staff members (one lead teacher + one school administrator)

      • 3 students (incoming freshmen, sophomores, or juniors with leadership potential)

    • Cost: $2,880 per district team

      • $1,490 for 3 students

      • $1,390 for 2 staff

      • Includes lunches, materials, and post-event access

    • Deposit: $225 due at registration

    • Registration Opens: May 12, 2025

    • Deadline: June 4, 2025 (or when full)

    Participation is limited to six districts. A second session may be added on June 19-20 or 24–25 if demand exceeds capacity.
